Hi there! We want to spend a holiday in the Tsitsikamma area, particularly because I've heard that there is great snorkelling spots to enjoy. Where can one find these areas to snorkel, and what affordable accommodation could you advise nearby? We have 2 small children as well - any accommodation with child-minding facilities to recommend? Welcome to the forum Sjdevaal and I hope you are going to enjoy many happy hours on the forum!

I went snorkelling at Tsitsikamma a few years ago and it was great. We snorkelled at two spots, at the southern side of the camp where there is a natural snorkelling pool and next to the restaurant in the open sea. If you are a scuba diver you can dive next to the restaurant as well.

Should have seen the viz last Thursday, super calm, all the way to the large fall rock outcrop on the horizon and back, baggies, no fins just facemask and snorkel, chilly but awesome. 45 minutes there and back, come on you swimmers and snorkellers, Mon - Thurs leaving at 16:00,whenever there is a good calm ocean, join me for long swims, round skiet rock, to the pebbly beach and back, or even we ask Owen to drop us off at the top of the boat trip ( when they park the boat for the night)and we swim back, if your keen call me here at work at the Tsitsikamma Restaurant

Are you scuba diving as well and do you perhaps know if Tsitsikamma has its own compressor for refills? Years ago we had to go to a sawmill to refill.
